Following a career in business and finance spanning two decades, Glen Wakeman is today the CEO of LaunchPad Holdings LLC, an SAAS company he co-founded in 2015. Having graduated with a BS in Economics and Finance from the University of Scranton (in 1981) and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago (in 1993), Wakeman then began a successful career (in P&L and business developmental positions) at GE Capital and, thereafter, Doral Financial Corporation, the latter at which he became CEO and President as well as Doral Bank’s Board Chairman. He also founded and presided over Nova Four and at GE, was recognized as a Growth Leadership role model by the company’s Board of Directors.
During his lengthy career, as well as being known as a mentor and entrepreneur, Wakeman has revolutionized businesses with 17,000+ staff members and $15bn in assets, resulting in their development and success. His work has included the guidance of start-ups, M&As, new market entry, divestitures, start-ups, exponential growth and more. He also applies his proven methodology using 5 key performance areas: execution, governance, human capital, leadership and risk management.
Being an investor and writer has enabled Wakeman to share his insight through regular blog posts about international fiscal matters, emerging markets, management and administration, strategy, and more. As a mentor, he has aided various C-level executives and currently counsels Dreamfunded and Sitter Bees.
